The Boys Club of Sioux City hosted their 37th Annual Western Steak Dinner and Steer Auction on Saturday, Sept. 6th at Jerry and Kathy Weiner’s Cattle Ranch just a mile north of Sioux City. Upon arrival guests stepped back in time as they were welcomed by greeters on horseback to a staged old western party.
The Western event began with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. featuring western games, funny money casino tent and all inclusive cocktails. Dinner was served at sunset and included a delicious steak and chicken entree with home-made sides and pie for dessert. The event continued into the evening with a live steer auction with Stabe Auctioneers, live music and dancing. The event is expected to raise over $70,000 for the Boys Club of Sioux City.
The Boys Club of Sioux City provides youth development programs for boys ages 7 to 18. The programs focus on five core areas; education, recreation, fine arts, healthy life-styles and character and leadership development. Each program is designed to help boys develop a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
The mission of the Boys Club of Sioux City is to inspire and enable all boys, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring and productive citizens.
